Abstract
Iconic professional basketball star, Pete Maravich (1947-1988) courted fellow student, Vada Palma during the height of his stellar career at Broughton High School, 1965-1966. She was his date for school's Queen of Hearts, a storied Broughton tradition that began as a fundraiser in 1941. The collection consists of eight letters; an oversize Valentine's Day card from Pete; a small quantity of photographs and clippings. An additon of 2018 consists of a computer-generated and printed original manuscript by Ms. Palma entitled "Memories of Pete."

Pete, ca. 1963; two news clippping photos of Pete, 1965 and 1970; and; a letter from
Randall Williams, M.D., to Ms. Palma thanking her for loaning the letters, pictures
and other memorabilia to the Broughton Caps Club and Broughton High School, 15 February
2010.
An addition of April 2018 consists of a computer-generated and printed original manuscript.
It is entitled "Memories of Pete," and signed in pen by Vada Palma. It is dated March
29, 2018, and totals two pages.
