The Cumberland Battalion Papers is a records group within the Military Collection at the State Archives of North Carolina. The materials in the collection were collected by the North Carolina Historical Commission and the State Archives of North Carolina (which formed out of the Historical Commission) after the Commission was formed in 1903. The origins of some of the documents is unknown, as they came in during the early days of what became the Archives. This records group was formed the State Archives sometime between the 1920s and the 1960s, from scattered records likely already held in some state government records and from public donors. The collection is arranged in 1 slim archival box.
