Abstract

Iconographic material removed from the papers of Dr. Charles Duncan McIver, which are held by Jackson Library at UNC-Greensboro. Dr. McIver was president of the State Normal and Industrial College at Greensboro from its establishment in 1892 until his death in 1906. The institution went on to become Women's College and then the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. This collection is an eclectic gathering of photographs of Colonial and early American portraits, paintings, and busts; photographs of notable houses, and some unidentified individuals.
