Typed copy of memorandum book apparently kept by William Alexander, fur trader, on trips through North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, containing diary of travels and expenses, furs bought, purchases made for others; receipts to him as "comisar," for rations of various military companies (1777-1778); and copies of drafts for payment, one by Gov. Richard Caswell on the Georgia delegates in Congress (1777). Also references to Alexander's father Hezekiah, and to John McKnitt Alexander.
