Collection Overview
The first three boxes contain Dr. Victor Aldine Coulter's genealogies of the Coulter family and related families (Lowrance, Herman, Setzer, Fry, Hunsicker, Isenhour, Killian, and Haven families). Dr. Coulter, a native of Catawba County (N.C.), was a professor of chemistry and dean of the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Mississippi. His genealogies contain correspondence, notes, and photographs of wills, deeds, and Bible records. Boxes four and five concern Dr. Coulter's own life and include correspondence, clippings, charts, academic papers, notes, and Coulter's military record. The military record contains information on chemical warfare. Box six contains a history of the Sixth Army Group and a 1945 final report on the operations of the G-2 Section of the Sixth Army Group during World War II.
