Finding Aid of the North Carolina Banking Commission Photograph Collection, PHC.33
Abstract
North Carolina Banking Commission provides rules for the guidance of the Commissioner
of Banks as he supervises state-chartered banks and enforces the banking laws of North
Carolina; hears appeals resulting from the Commissioners actions and considers applications
for new bank charters and bank mergers.
This photograph collection consists of nineteen (19) original black and white photographs
of various officers of the North Carolina Banking Commission. One additional photograph
is a portrait of Governor Angus Wilton McLean, 1925-1929. The photographs were removed
from their original frames.
